The Town Hall Team is a highly collaborative group with a mission to curate and activate elevated moments of connection for the Comcast community and beyond. We are a team of dedicated producers, detailed event planners, logistics champions, and experienced technicians. Together, we manage Comcast's Town Hall and the Ralph J. Roberts Forum, often referred to as the 'heart and soul of campus.' Town Hall includes conference room space, collaborative lounge spaces, and Comcast NBCUniversal's marquee event space, the Ralph J. Roberts Forum. Named after Comcast's founder, the Ralph J. Roberts Forum is a two floor, 500-seat amphitheater located in the heart of the Comcast Technology Center. With 56,000 square-feet of production space, full broadcast capabilities, and its Dolby Vision + Atmos cinema system, there is no other place like the Forum. This individual's meticulous attention to detail will help to effectively drive the success of the team. The core responsibility of this role is to oversee all aspects of the team's video operations; equipment, infrastructure, live event execution, and vendor oversight as it pertains to the department. The Production Video Specialist we seek is a seasoned production professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This individual exhibit expertise in signal flow, switcher operation, baseband and IP workflow, AV routing systems, DCP cinematic workflow, web streaming platforms, live event and broadcast multi camera production, video editing, asset management and file sharing. The Production Video Specialist will support the production team by identifying, developing, and implementing system workflows to deliver a video content at the highest level. Reporting to the Manager of Technical Operations under the Director of Production, this individual will take charge of the video department to fulfill maintenance, design, documentation, strategy, and implementation responsibilities. These include but are not limited to; event coordination, equipment installs, repair schedules, and collaboration with other departments' ongoing projects. During live programming the Production Video Specialist will fill the position of the primary video content contact for most events. Candidate must be able to successfully interact and communicate with clients and crews on site while always maintaining a professional demeanor. Core Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end video production workflow
- Oversee video production vendor positions and areas as assigned
- Provide production guidance during client meetings and calls to align with event objectives
- Collaborate with the Director of Production, Production Managers, and cross-functional teams to standardize methods, systems, and best practices
- Review all video assets to ensure they meet quality standards and are suitable for show execution
- Proactively communicate missing assets, questions, or concerns in a timely manner
- Contribute creative input to enhance event experiences and improve departmental workflows
- Partner with Conference Services and AV Operations as needed for production support
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Develop new protocols and continuously improve existing workflow standards
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies through ongoing professional development
- Support the expansion and strengthening of vendor relationships
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Proficient in configuring and operating Sony, Ross, and TriCaster video switchers
- Knowledge of web streaming platforms and RTMP standards, including Teams Live, Vimeo, and Air Meet
- Experience with Panasonic and Christie projectors, DCP file conversion, and projector playlist/macro creation
- Basic video editing skills using Adobe Premiere or similar software
- Familiarity with Panasonic and Sony PTZ camera workflows and operations
- Deep understanding of video workflows in live event and broadcast environments
- Strong creative problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills suited to a production environment
- Experience with broadcast, hybrid, in-person, and fully virtual event formats
- Proficient in Microsoft Office / 365 suite and general administrative tasks
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in broadcast, live entertainment, or corporate production
- Proven track record of success in similar roles
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including outside of standard business hours when needed
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with confidence and composure under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive attitude with the ability to inspire and contribute to a collaborative team environment
Preferred Skills/Qualifications
- Experience with programming and operating Evertz routing systems
- Familiarity with Crestron programming and system operation
- Relevant video production certifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
