Client Data Infrastructure is looking for a detail-oriented, motivated engineer to join their Client Data Storage team. This team is responsible for building low-level systems that store and secure our clients’ mission-critical files and documents. Two of the key systems that this team maintains are the Client Relational Data Service (CRDS), and the Application User Data Service (AUDS), two critical tier-0 pieces of infrastructure that each handle over one hundred million requests per day.
The team is comprised of a small group of talented and highly versatile engineers. Our team members make changes that have a large impact, as virtually all FactSet’s products use our systems somewhere in their technology stack. At the same time, that position requires a keen eye for stability and performance. Development work is largely in C#, though some responsibilities may require C++, SQL or a scripting language.
Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and deploy low-level enhancements and fixes to critical systems
Participate in an on-call rotation
Contribute to highly technical design discussions
Help design the next generation of FactSet’s client data architecture
Minimum Requirements:
3-5 years’ experience within Software Development
Programming experience in an Object-Oriented Language
Critical Skills:
Programming experience in an Object-Oriented Language
Experience working with C# or C++
SQL development experience, especially SQL server
Cloud development experience
Additional/Desired Skills:
Eagerness to learn new systems, and how they get applied by other engineering teams
Ability to collaborate effectively with other engineers
Strong analytical and design skills
Experience working on critical, low-level infrastructure
Education:
Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
The budgeted salary range for this position in the states of Connecticut and New York is $120.000 – 135,000.00
