Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$27.230 - $33.950 - $40.670


This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with SEIU-UHW. As part of the terms of employment, employees in this role are required to join the union within 31 days of hire and remain a member (e.g. dues paying, fee paying, religious exception contributor) for the duration of the collective bargaining agreement.

This position was originally posted to ratified SEIU members from 5/22/2025 to 5/29/2025. The position is now available to be filled by internal candidates that are not members of the ratified Bargaining Unit or External candidates to Sharp.


What You Will Do
Performs technical service including but not limited to 12 lead electrocardiagrams, rhythm strips, pacemaker analysis, and code blue monitoring. Assist in preparation, processing, and distribution of noninvasive test results. Data entry into computer base systems within the Cardiac Center.

Required Qualifications

  • Satisfactory completion of EKG training program (ROP or equivalent) in EKG and arrhythmia recognition and with documented clinical hours performed in EKG modality.
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED

  • 2 Years experience.


Essential Functions

  • Edit and distribute ECG
    Edit and distribute 12 lead electrocardiograms after confirmation by physician using the ECG management system.
    Use all accessing and editing commands with 100% accuracy.
    Assure 100% accuracy of interpretation by proofreading before final approval.
    Distribute final report to patient floor and requesting physician, assuring no lost reports.
  • Perform and process ECG
    Perform and processes 12 lead electrocardiograms for physician confirmation using the management system.
    Test performed with minimum baseline artifact.
    Leads placed with 100% accuracy.
    Patient information entered into computer with 100% accuracy
    Ability to perform a minimum of twenty tests per eight hour shift.
    Record procedures into Vax with 100% accuracy.
  • Technical procedures
    ECG rhythm strips.
    Holter monitor application.
    Signal averaged ECG's.
    Code blue monitoring and recording.
    Pericardiocentesis monitoring and recording.
    Ability to record and understand pacemaker strips, both with and without magnet applied to pacemaker. Education of patients enrolled in Pacemaker Clinic, including use of equipment, scheduled calls, and subsequent visits.
