Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Test Engineer. This position will be located at our site in Warner Robins, GA. where technology and teamwork come together. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Depot Manufacturing Team working in a collaborative environment while promoting a positive and proactive teamwork environment.
Position is on-site in Warner Robins, GA. and cannot be performed remotely
We seek a Principal Test Engineer that uses a unique skill set that includes a hands-on approach and act as the depot production focal point for the management of testing and assembly processes.
The primary responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to:
• Performing activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process reengineering.
• Support operations with the execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules
• Coordinates integrated testing activities; reviews and evaluates test requirements to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations
• Perform comprehensive test procedures that meet stringent customer requirements
• Generate/respond to comprehensive discrepancy reports; continuous follow-up coordination with developers to solve complex problems associated with real-time processing software
• Perform software installation and checkout in support of development, integration and testing efforts
Basic Qualifications for a Principal Test Engineer:
• Must have a High School Diploma/GED and 9 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; 3 years with a Masters; 1 year with a PhD will also be considered
• Active Secret clearance at time of application
• Experience supporting Operational Customers with system execution
• Minimum 5-years of experience assembling and testing CMBRE, Common Munitions BIT Reprogramming Equipment.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in Electronic Repair
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in RF and Radar Systems
• SAP and MES knowledge or experience.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
• Experience generating or overseeing the creation of Manufacturing BOMs, processes, and work instructions
• Experience in writing electronic test procedures.

Salary Range: $86,600.00 - $130,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
