Summary of Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically skilled professional to join our Executive Benefits team. This role will focus on supporting and driving new business development in the Insurance Company-Owned Life Insurance (ICOLI) space. The ideal candidate will combine strong financial modeling and investment analysis capabilities with a consultative approach to client engagement and proposal development. The candidate should possess a strong desire to grow and develop as a professional to meet the needs of the business.
This is a full-time position working from our Austin, TX office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the executive benefits and ICOLI markets, with a focus on mid-to-large market employers.
- Lead the development of strategic proposals and sophisticated financial models tailored to prospective clients and joint-venture partners.
- Conduct in-depth analysis and interpretation of complex legal and financial documents, including life insurance contracts, private placement memoranda, and partnership agreements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, actuarial, investment, and compliance teams to design and implement customized executive benefit solutions.
- Maintain and enhance internal databases of financial and market intelligence to support data-driven business development strategies.
- Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance metrics, and maintain forecasting tools to support strategic decision-making.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and tax implications relevant to ICOLI and executive compensation planning.
- Support the preparation and delivery of high-impact client presentations and internal strategy briefings.
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Well organized with the ability to handle several projects/clients simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with MS Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Dedicated work ethic with a commitment to client service excellence
- Experience working in a team environment
- Able to travel, approximately 25%
Candidate Qualifications and Abilities Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Exposure and working familiarity with banking, insurance, private equity, or executive benefits.
- Strong understanding of ICOLI, non-qualified deferred compensation plans, and executive compensation strategies.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis; experience with tools like Excel, PitchBook, Preqin, or S&P Global Market Intelligence is a plus.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with compliance standards (FINRA, SEC) and experience preparing compliant marketing materials.
- Have or obtain FINRA SIE, series 63 and series 6 or 7. Required within first 12 months of hire

The base salary range for this position is $43,000 – $70,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
