- The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in technology-focused commercial transactions
- Experience structuring, drafting and negotiating complex agreements, including business process outsourcing deals, SaaS, global purchase, intellectual property licensing, distribution, professional services and marketing agreements, in a manner that accounts for business objectives as well as legal and policy requirements.
- You will work with leading technology, financial services, telecommunications, healthcare and life sciences clients, supporting a highly regarded team within the firm’s corporate group
- Provide strategic counsel on emerging trends and issues in the technology sector and provide tailored legal guidance and subject matter expertise on new and existing legal/regulatory
- Conduct thorough legal analysis and risk assessments to identify potential legal issues and provide proactive, business-friendly recommendations and actionable guidance.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of standard agreement templates and playbooks for clients.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with the following:
- advising clients on issues related to AI, privacy and information security
- providing support to M&A and Private Equity transactions teams
- familiarity with the inhouse contract management function; how procurement, legal and business functions interact; etc.
- Strong academic credentials with excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex legal matters while working collaboratively within a cross-office team.
- Candidates must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina, eligible to sit for the North Carolina bar exam, or eligible to be admitted to the North Carolina Bar through comity.
