Summary:
This .Net Developer II position will join our .Net Utilities team as a .Net Developer. The team supports our business partners developing and supporting custom applications to fulfill their needs and help them operate effectively and efficiently. The .Net Developer will be well-versed in .NET concepts, standards, and technologies and complimentary languages including SQL, JavaScript, Angular. This position will leverage a variety of development and “Dev Ops” tools to create new and enhance existing applications. In addition, candidates must be willing and capable of learning new tools and technologies as we expand our areas of responsibility and leverage advances in new technologies.
Expectations for a successful candidate:
- Revise, update, refactor and debug code.
- Understand business and organizational implications of key application technology options for high-impact initiatives.
- Write clean, scalable code using C# .NET, VB.net , JavaScript and Angular programming languages.
- Serve as support on multiple applications.
- Engage in issue identification and problem resolution processes, with advanced problem-solving skills and application technology design activities.
- Available for on-call support rotation.
- Must be customer focused to understand and appropriately respond to customers' business needs.
- Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Excellent communication skills - position requires significant communication with various internal and external technical resources as well as testing and business teams.
- Self-motivated technical support able to assist other team members.
- Ability to work independently.
Job Requirements
Programming Languages:
- Strong .Net development experience (VB/C#/Core)
- Strong Bitbucket experience.
- Entity Framework, LINQ to SQL
- Min 2 years of Bitbucket experience
- Min 2 years of DevOps experience
- SQL data structure and query development
- NodeJS / Angular
- Strong HTML/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery/XML experience
- 3+ years Object Oriented Programming experience
- Web Services (SOAP/REST)
Product Experience:
- Working experience with Visual Studio 2017+, SQL Server Management Studio, Team Foundation Server, SoapUI, MSBuild, BitBucket (Git), Jenkins
- Relational Database experience with CRUD operations (SQL minimum requirement, DB2 is a plus)
Skills include:
- Working knowledge of application server environments (i.e. Internet Information Services)
- 1-2 years of Azure experience
- Development experience with Windows and web applications deployed in complex, multi-tiered environments
- IDE Experience (i.e. Visual Studio)
- Working with teams using source code repositories (TFS), Bit Bucket
- Office Tools (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio)
- Understanding of Financial Applications a plus
- Knowledge of containers, Kubernetes and Azure DevOps a plus
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related area
- 3+ years of directly related experience
