




Our health and wellness client is hiring a Product Innovation Manager to join their team.
This role is fully onsite in their Scottsdale, AZ office. You must be able to travel as required to meet project deadlines and support business needs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Lead efforts to analyze competitor products, identify market gaps, and assess both current and future consumer trends to inform product strategies.
- Research and evaluate up-and-coming innovations in ingredients, delivery formats, packaging, claims, and other areas to help shape cutting-edge product proposals and ensure products are at the forefront of scientific advancements.
- Drive the product discovery phase, leads cross-functional teams in brainstorming, ideation, and initial conceptualization of new product ideas based on customer insights and scientific innovation.
- Ensure that product proposals clearly identify how to differentiate the company's products from both those in the current portfolio and those in the market.
- Craft unique selling propositions that resonate with target customers and attracts new customers by emphasizing the product's scientific innovation, effectiveness, and unique benefits.
- Deliver data-driven insights and strategic recommendations on product innovations and market opportunities to key stakeholders, ensuring a customer-centric and future-facing product portfolio.
- Continuously monitor and assess industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure the brand remains competitive in the market and anticipates future customer needs.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams throughout the entire product development process, ensuring that all teams are aligned with product goals, timelines, and business strategies.
- Lead or collaborate in designing and implementing consumer testing strategies, ensuring new product concepts meet customer expectations and market needs.
- Contribute to the development of a robust innovation pipeline by identifying and prioritizing high-impact product ideas that can generate sustainable growth and customer loyalty.
- Self-manage all aspects of product innovation projects, including setting timelines, providing regular project updates, assessing risks, and communicating critical business decisions to leadership to ensure on-time and successful product launches.
MUST HAVES:
- 7+ years of experience in product innovation in dietary supplements, personal care, or related consumer health/CPG categories
- Ability to collaborate with others and thrive in a team environment while meeting individual goals and expectations.
- Experience working with CPG brands
- Direct selling experience is a plus
- Adept at providing solutions and working in cross functional areas to facilitate successful completion of projects.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the professional development of a team and provide innovative leadership.
- Ability to conceive an idea in research and take it through to the marketplace.
- Evidence of success in having grown an organization extensively.
- Proven track record of leadership and innovation in product development within the dietary supplement or personal care industry.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
