The BAE Systems site in Aiken, South Carolina is seeking a Quality Engineer II in support of Combat Mission Systems for 2nd Shift.
In this role as a Quality Engineer II, you'll be charged to:
- Develop and write inspection plans.
- Read, interpret, and apply blueprint skills.
- Apply Geometric Dimensions & Tolerancing (GD&T) concepts.
- Monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts and data files.
- Process non-conformances for disposition.
- Provide technical quality support to production and engineering.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- This position typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline, and two (2) years related experience, or the overall equivalent.
- Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints.
- Working knowledge in reading, comprehending, and applying GD&T principles and applications.
- Ability to read and understand raw material specifications.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Understanding of Quality and Lean Principles.
- Ability to support 2nd Shift.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Oracle MRP system;
- First Article Inspection preparation;
- PFEMAs;
- Writing inspection plans;
- Statistical Process Control;
- Laser Scanner Inspection technology;
- Polyworks inspection programing;
- CMM-Manager inspection programming.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $70735 - $120250
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
