Full Job Description

Our major tech client is seeking a talented and experienced UX Designer to join a dynamic team for a 1-year consulting assignment ONSITE in SEATTLE. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting innovative design solutions that enhance user experiences across digital platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Engineers, and other UX Designers to develop and refine user-centric designs that meet business and user needs. This is an exciting opportunity to shape impactful digital products from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • UX Design & Strategy: Develop user-centered design solutions that align with both business goals and user needs. Work closely with product and engineering teams to define product scope and iterate on design concepts.
  • User Research & Validation: Conduct usability testing, user interviews, and concept validation research sessions. Analyze feedback to ensure designs are intuitive and effective.
  • Design Artifacts: Create detailed and high-fidelity wireframes, storyboards, personas, user journey maps, and prototypes that communicate design concepts and user flows to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Partner with Product Managers, Engineering, and other UX Designers to iterate on design concepts and ensure a seamless handoff of design specifications. Provide clear and actionable design rationale during feedback and review cycles.
  • Accessibility: Integrate accessibility best practices into your design process to ensure digital products are usable for all people, regardless of their abilities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, design tools, and best practices, and continuously improve design processes and outputs.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in UX design, with a proven track record of delivering design solutions for digital products.
  • Strong experience developing storyboards, personas, user journey maps, and other design deliverables.
  • Expertise in creating high-fidelity mockups and specifications for Engineering handoff.
  • Experience working closely with Technical Product Managers to define product scope and requirements.
  • Solid understanding of accessibility principles and a commitment to designing inclusive user experiences.
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design rationale to diverse stakeholders.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your design process, problem-solving skills, and high-quality outputs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile development processes and collaborating in cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of front-end development (HTML/CSS) to better understand technical constraints and opportunities.
  • Experience working on mobile or responsive design projects.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $50 to $54 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
