Today, we help clients with total transformation-inspiring complex change, enabling organizations to grow, building competitive advantage, and driving bottom-line impact.

BCG delivers solutions through leading-edge management consulting along with technology and design, corporate and digital ventures-and business purpose. We work in a uniquely collaborative model across the firm and throughout all levels of the client organization, generating results that allow our clients to thrive.

What You'll Do

Manage contracts and provide pricing and transaction support for BCG's US Federal government contracts. Provide first-line guidance on federal acquisition matters, working closely with BCG's Legal Team and other departments and functions. Build excellent processes and infrastructure to support US Federal contracting, address compliance risks, and codify and share best practices across markets.

This role may include direct management of a small team of contract analysts. It is your responsibility to foster a collaborative, efficient and highly effective team environment, including appropriately aligning workload and coaching direct reports.

  • Oversee BCG's US Federal contracts and assisting with the team to construct, submit and negotiate proposals.
  • Manage opportunities throughout the contract lifecycle, from early lead through RFP, proposal, negotiation, award, modification, and closeout
  • Build and strengthen BCG leadership's knowledge of US Federal acquisition and procurement practices
  • Review RFP/RFQ/solicitation documents and amendments and communicate requirements to the appropriate parties
  • Review and negotiate NDAs, teaming agreements, and subcontract agreements with teaming partners
  • Serve as the primary advisor on Federal contract compliance and communicate requirements to the appropriate parties
  • Maintain contract document management system and help identify and develop process and system improvements
  • Work with Legal to review, draft, and negotiate contract terms & conditions, solicitation questions, and proposal assumptions
  • Prepare proposal business volumes (including pricing, reps & certs, subcontracting plans, OCI plans, etc.)
  • Interface with government contracting officials on all matters of the contract lifecycle
  • Attend client kick-off meetings, project-team handoffs, and other client-facing and BCG-internal meetings and events
  • Support subcontracts matters including flowdown of prime-contract clauses, in coordination with the Subcontracts team
  • Advise BCG Finance on various budget, reporting, and invoicing matters
  • Manage periodic reporting requirements (e.g., SAM.gov, service contractor reporting, etc.)
  • Flag and escalate risks and manage process to comply with BCG company policies
  • Provide pricing and transaction support and other public-sector business support duties as assigned

You're good at:

  • Willingness to jump in and take ownership in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Consultative mind set; pursuing the "yes" rather than stopping at the first "no," while helping grow business in a risk-appropriate manner
  • Resourcefulness in resolving complex and ambiguous questions
  • Prioritizing and executing on multiple competing topics
  • Strong attention to detail, but able to maintain focus on the big picture
  • Multi-disciplinary expertise across different support functions
  • Communicating, relationship building, and teaming across geographies and functions in a matrixed professional services organization

What You'll Bring

  • Subject matter expertise on US Federal acquisition processes and practices
  • Experience with managing various US Government contract types (e.g., FFP, IDIQ, MACs, GSA Schedules, BPAs, T&M, etc.)
  • Deep knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS), and other agency FAR supplements
  • Experience with commercial services and commercial products contracting (i.e., FAR Part 12)
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Advanced degree in a business field (e.g., MBA) preferred
  • S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
  • 7+ yrs. experience (cohort & title aligned with experience and background)
