Trade Compliance Classification Specialist a part of a team that is at the core of ensuring that we meet Philips’ promise to comply with trade and transportation regulations.
You will be the key player in determining the US HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) classification of our systems and the spare parts needed to repair/recondition these systems.
Your role:
Classify medical devices, systems and spare parts using the US Harmonized Tariff Schedule, CROSS and other industry tools.
Develop and lead automated solutions to compliantly and efficiently classify products.
Train and act as the gatekeeper with team members in classification best practices and tools.
Obtain and maintain partnering governing agency information such as FDA, EPA, etc.
Keeping Philips current with the new and evolving regulations and trade initiatives pertaining to product classification such as ADD/CVD, EPA, duty savings.
Provide data and reports regarding the performance of compliance functions within the business unit.
Review inbound and outbound shipping documents and processes to ensure import/export compliance, to include export licenses, duty drawback, FDA clearance, harmonized tariff codes, FCC, and other governmental agencies.
At the direction of the manager/lead take on day-to-day projects of varying scope and manage them through to the finish with attention to due dates and timelines.
You're the right fit if:
You have a High School Diploma with 5+ years of experience facilitating the import/export of products with US customs and partnering government agencies, focused on classification of products. (Advanced degree is preferred)
You have acquired 5+ years with direct USHTS classification experience with medical devices, systems, spare parts and general use products (Preferred)
Your skills include being a highly intellectual problem solver, self-motivated, and collaborative team player
You have Customhouse Broker (CHB) License (aka Licensed Customs Broker [LCB]) (Preferred
You possess an advanced knowledge of AD/CVD, PGA’s and USHTS use & application (Preferred)

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in TN, PA, CT, FL, and MN is $77,000 to $130,000
The pay range for this position in MA is $80,000 to $135,000
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
