Test Instrumentation Manager 2 to join our Test Engineering team. This leadership role is located in Edwards, AFB, CA.
Key responsibilities:
• Lead a large team of Engineers and Technicians
• Responsible for program staffing, Test Readiness Reviews, leadership development, and knowledge retention for the organization.
• Responsible for actively driving team engagement and collaboration, goal setting, performance feedback, and participation in department affordability strategy.
• Managing staff and technical activities
• Creating and managing schedules, spending plans, staffing plans, and developing proposals for future work.
• Prepare presentations/reports and routinely present status to senior leadership.
Basic Qualifications:
• Must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM discipline AND 9 years of related professional / Military experience in Engineering OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline AND 7 years of related professional / Military experience in Engineering
• Experience in any of the following: Flight Test Instrumentation, System Test, Systems Integration, Project Leadership, Hardware Design, Electrical Design
• Minimum of 2-years experience as a functional or assignment manager
• DOD Top Secret Clearance
• Ability to obtain Program Special Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company, to meet its business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
• Solid technical understanding of instrumentation systems and architectures
• Excellent leadership, motivational, and communication skills
• Experience recruiting or hiring a diverse workforce
• Has proven experience taking on assignments to identify and solve issues proactively
• Ability to interface with all levels of functional and program management
• Demonstrated ability to plan and execute technical projects from inception through completion with the ability to manage several tasks/projects simultaneously
• Ability to manage cost, schedule, and technical performance of SOW elements
• Risk and opportunity management experience
• Customer relationship experience
• Proven ability to drive change within a complex environment
Salary Range: $142,200 - $213,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
