Overview
Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) is seeking a Temporary Administrative Assistant for the PhRMA State Advocacy department. This is a full-time, temporary position and based in Washington, DC.
The Temporary Administrative Assistant will:
- Complete and submit expense reports for four team members
- Assist with weekly virtual and monthly in-person company meeting preparation
- Schedule and coordinate departmental meetings and teleconferences, including securing conference rooms and working with IT staff to ensure effective audio/visual connections
- Arrange for external visitors, including building access, welcoming guests at reception and escorting to meetings
- Support membership database management
- Update contact sheet as needed
- Assist with PowerPoint presentations
- Assist in preparing contracts processing invoices
- Back up other administrative team members as needed
- Manage calendar appointments as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned

Professional Experience / Requirements
- High School Diploma required; some college education or bachelor’s degree preferred
- A minimum of 3+ years assisting a senior level executive preferably in a legal environment and/or in an environment requiring the handling of confidential information and documents
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, including good editing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy and ability to work as a member of a team
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Strong computer skills should include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) web, and database management
- Previous experience working with financial administrative tasks, such as financial reports and processing invoices
- Ability to work independently as well as lead and assist other support staff while exercising good judgment
- Ability to do basic research
Potential Salary
- $56,700 - $76,400 per annum. Salary is commensurate with experience and other compensable factors.
