2025 SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM P&L Engineering

The LifeNet Health summer internship is a paid ($20/hour) program and includes project work that aligns with our mission Saving Lives, Restoring Health, and Giving Hope. The projects are designed to engage active learning, provide mentor relationships and leadership development over the course of a 10-week program. As a fun bonus, our interns are provided with 8 weeks of golf lessons and a set of clubs to use during the internship program with an end-of-program golf tournament!

The Production & Logistics Engineering internship project will provide you with hands-on experience in a clinical environment where you will be exposed to the multiple functions of the engineering team to support the business and drive corporate initiatives. The Engineering project entails working with the Vision System Application - small parts sorting and Identification of screws.

PROJECT DETAILS/TRAINING:

• You will assist with the Keyence Vision System which can correctly identify and catalog the screws.
• You will assist with designing a mount fixture in SolidWorks, as well as programming to create a database of all potential screws so the measurements can correctly sort into the appropriate category.
• You will train in close collaboration with the engineering, quality, and sterilization department.
• You will be given various opportunities and training for routine engineering activities, such as process development studies (feasibility and optimization), technical writing (protocols and reports), presentation/communication (information sharing of results), cross-functional teamwork (interfaces with Quality, P&L, and PD), and experience in regulated industry (IQOQPQ, GDP, Quality Systems).

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

* You must be actively pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering. Biomedical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering Preferred. Coursework in Core Engineering preferred. Engineering Statistics and Technical Writing background preferred.

* You must be a rising junior, senior, or a recent graduate pursuing a graduate degree.

* You must be available to commit to the 10-week program (June 2 August 8), full-time, 40 hours/week.
