Strategic Sourcing Principal
As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist Principal here at Honeywell, you will play a key role in driving the end-to-end cycle of proposals and subcontracts. You will be responsible for completing fair and reasonable price analyses, executing program-aligned subcontracts, and collaborating with key functions within and outside of ISC to support proposals and subcontracts. This role requires a detailed understanding of procurement life cycle, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
You will report directly to our Sr Director Strategic Sourcing and you'll work out of our Tempe, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will be responsible for executive supplier relationships with up to 50 suppliers and up to $100M in annual spend. Accountable for direct material productivity, working capital (payment terms, pay cycle, VMI), Contract negotiations, dual sourcing and HGR penetration, and the performance of each supplier. Sr Manager also owns the strategic business plan for scope of business and connecting it cross-functionally across all internal Honeywell organizations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize costs, quality, and delivery performance
- Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify strategic suppliers and onboard them
- Lead supplier negotiations and contract management to ensure favorable terms and conditions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier performance and supply chain efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies with business objectives
- Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier relationships to mitigate risks and ensure compliance
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
YOU MUST HAVE
- 8+ years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or Finance
- Strong negotiation skills and processes
- Ability to independently lead multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills - verbal and written
WE VALUE
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, or Technical discipline
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred
- Procurement/Sourcing experience within aerospace technologies or similar industry
- Significant experience managing subcontracts (FFP, CP, CPIF, etc.)
- Ability to negotiate terms and conditions
- Experience with executing subcontracts
- Strong business acumen
- Strong business relationship management skills
