Honeywell Connected Enterprise is looking for an experienced Senior UX Researcher to help us gather and communicate the key insights that guide the product development process.
The Sr. UX researcher will work closely with product leadership to create and execute a UX research plan for their program to answer early product concept questions and deliver actionable results and recommendations. You will lead UX research initiatives across multiple programs and work closely with UX designers and UX researchers to complete these initiatives.
While the primary focus of this role is research, the ideal candidate will offer a blended background as both a researcher and a designer, bringing a practical understanding of the factors that designers must consider in applying research findings to create effective UX.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Design and conduct qualitative and ethnographic studies that inform product concepts; translate data into results that have a clear, direct impact on design.
* Advise partners and team members on research opportunities and best practices at various stages of the product concept process.
* Manage your own process: Identify and execute on high-impact projects, triage external requests, and bring projects to conclusion in time for the results to be useful.
* Be comfortable with traveling to conduct site visits, engage with customers, and other hands-on research techniques.
* Excellent communications skills. You are accomplished at conveying complex concepts clearly and persuasively to a variety of audiences, both verbally and in writing.
* Lead and mentor other UX researchers and UX designers to help improve their knowledge of UX research
YOU MUST HAVE:
*Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering or mathematics
*5+ years' experience designing and conducting evaluative and generative research.
*5+ years' experience with tools for UX research, analysis, and synthesis (e.g., Survey Monkey, UserTesting, UserZoom)
WE VALUE:
*Bachelor's degree in human-computer interaction, human factors, psychology, or a similar related field.
*A research portfolio that demonstrates your processes and thinking. It should tell the story of how you have lead research projects that have created new business opportunities or major changes in a product.
*The ability to look at the entire product ecosystem of a program to identify areas of improvement and create a plan to address the issues
*Experience leading and mentoring designers and researchers
*Proven track record for close team collaboration and influencing outcomes with a well-informed direction based on user research
*Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness.
*Demonstrated skill and creativity for selecting the right mix of methods to provide actionable insights to research questions and business goals, and the capacity to invent new methods when the right method does not exist.
*Finely tuned analytical skills. You pinpoint the important information and find the patterns within a sea of data.
*Ability to dissect problems and uncover novel solutions
*Looking beyond the silos of the businesses to find the common threads that can drive innovation
*The ability to run stakeholder and user feedback workshops, facilitate design sprints
