This role is an Electrical Business Partner, primarily supporting the Industrial Automation group with a focus on Electrical Spend. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and driving the procurement of materials and services across all regions and businesses in alignment with our Annual Operating and Strategic Plans.
Responsibilities include driving competitive supply strategies to achieve the lowest Total Cost, reducing Working Capital through negotiation planning and execution, sourcing from High Growth Regions, implementing Value Engineering, and eliminating Sole/Single Source suppliers. The candidate will manage Supplier Performance to support their commodity/category and/or region, ensuring supply continuity while managing multiple projects in a dynamic global environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and execute the Strategic Plan for IA Electrical commodity spend with the Strategic Business Groups.
- Execute strategies in a timely and efficient manner to align with business growth and new product introductions.
- Manage Electrical Category Strategies, including spend analysis, benchmarking, cost and market analysis, and global technology/economic trends.
- Build new relationships with key supplier leadership.
- Lead supplier selection, RFQ and RFI processes, negotiation, contracting, and supplier performance processes.
- Improve Working Capital through improved payment terms.
- Maintain a corporate preferred supplier base and leverage spend across the Strategic Business Groups.
- Apply effective sourcing supplier risk assessment methodologies to ensure supply continuity.
Must Have:
- 5 years' experience in electrical commodities.
- Experience creating and implementing strategies across different businesses.
- Proven success in negotiations and supplier relationships, along with a proven result-oriented performance record.
We Value:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management.
- Prefer master's degree in business administration. Project Management and/or Contract Management experience.
- Team Leader experience in Supply Management/Sourcing/Procurement/Business.
- Demonstrated business and financial acumen.
- Experience with SAP, E-Sourcing Platforms, Request for Quotation Tools, and Project Management.
- Experience working and/or leading in matrix and complex team environments.
- Professional certifications in Project/Supply Chain/Procurement/Contract Management.
- Demonstrated behaviors: Passion for Winning, Thinking Big, and Accomplishing Tasks.
