As a PLC Programmer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing programmable logic controller (PLC) systems to control and automate industrial processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop efficient and reliable PLC programs. Your expertise in PLC programming will play a crucial role in optimizing production processes and ensuring the smooth operation of industrial systems.

You will report directly to our Global Project Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Lincolnshire Illinois location or on a hybrid work schedule. (OTHER LOCATIONS CONSIDERED)

In this role, you will have a significant impact on improving efficiency, productivity, and safety in industrial operations through the development and implementation of PLC systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designing and developing PLC programs to control and automate industrial processes.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and ensure successful implementation.
• Testing and troubleshooting PLC systems to ensure proper functionality.
• Modifying and optimizing existing PLC programs to improve performance and efficiency.
• Documenting PLC programs, including code, wiring diagrams, and operating instructions.

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $137,000. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Proven experience as a PLC Programmer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming languages, such as ladder logic and structured text.
• Familiarity with industrial automation systems and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

WE VALUE

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
• Experience with PLC programming software, such as Honeywell Control Edge, Sfety Manager, Experion, and Siemens TIA Portal or Allen-Bradley RSLogix.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols, such as Modbus or Ethernet/IP.
• Understanding of safety standards and regulations in industrial environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
