Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Sr Principal Computer Systems Architect to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Product Support organization onsite at Beale AFB , CA.
Accomplish You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with high expectations and adapt to change. The candidate must exhibit strong leadership characteristics in coordinating with multiple teams and managing tasks. The role will be a hybrid of significantly diverse assignments in a collaborative/team setting across all levels. You must be able to collaborate closely with system engineers, hardware designers, integration/test engineers, and program leadership. You should be able to review, update, or develop engineering design drawings specific for the test environment.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science Degree with 8 years of related experience; OR a Master's Degree with 6 years of relevant experience; OR a PhD with 4 years of experience.
• Experience in Cisco networks, VLANS, L2 switching, port channels
• Experience with VMware Horizon 7/8 and VMware 6/7
• Moderate knowledge of scripting
• Must have Security+ certification OR be able to obtain it within 6 months of hire
• Candidates must have a current DOD Top Secret level security clearance (or higher) with an original adjudication, or a periodic reinvestigation date, completed within the last 6 years to be considered.
• Must have the ability to obtain, and maintain a Special Access Programs (SAP/SAR) level clearance as a condition of continued employment. This SAP/SAR must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
• Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include work outside of normally scheduled hours, extended shifts, holidays, and weekends as needed.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Good communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
• Proven ability to brief technical presentations to stakeholders.
• Demonstrated technical writing skills.
• Moderate experience in Cisco networks, VLANS, L2 switching, port channels.
• Moderate knowledge of Windows Server, Windows Key Management Services.
• Experience in standing up new Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments, including configuration, maintenance, and installation of supporting Windows and RHEL virtual desktops.
• Knowledge of Thinklogical audio/video distribution systems.

Salary Range: $131,100 - $196,700
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
