Job Summary
Determine the quantity and order date for raw and packaging materials needed to support the master production schedule. Initiate supplier schedules and/or material releases. Troubleshoot supplier quality and service issues. Participates and supports ConAgra's SAP Best Practice Group. In event of this person absence, coverage will be provided.
Position Responsibilities
- Responsible for the scheduling and purchasing of raw materials, packaging and commodities from various suppliers
- Ensure the production facility has adequate materials on hand while maintaining established inventory levels.
- Work with corporate purchasing to provide future requirements based on production outlook to support long range buying tactics.
- Keep corporate buyers informed about vendor relations and any supply issues
- Oversee inventory of ingredients, packaging and commodities, managing risk of obsolescence versus supply shortage
- Manage material version changes and run outs.
- Coordinate material requirements for new product rollouts.
- Facilitate supplier quality and service improvement efforts.
- Resolve vendor invoice discrepancies.
- Work closely with inbound transportation to ensure timely and cost effective delivery.
- Coordinate transfer of packaging and ingredients between plants to ensure no interruption to supply chain or production.
- Administer corporate contract agreements regarding order quantities, price breaks, lead times and transportation.
- Provide timely information and reports to the Supply Planner.
- Troubleshoot daily quantity issues.
- Works with suppliers/vendors to obtain appropriate certifications (i.e. Kosher).
- Maintain vendor relations through one-on-one meetings, attending seminars/conferences, etc.
- Facilitate Materials reviews to include: evaluation of major components, lead-times, development of service level agreements and review of costs to targets.
- Support SAP Best Practice team
- Responsible for leading and driving improvements in the Raw/Pack and WIP work streams within LSC team.
- Facilitate and drive meetings and functions well within a multi-functional team.
- Performs data maintenance of inventory control systems used to track the status of purchase orders, inventory levels, and production requirements.
- Serve as back-up for the Supply Planner position.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum three (3) years Materials Requirement Planning (MRP)/production purchasing experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret procedures. Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Must have strong PC skills with the ability to work with various applications and Microsoft Office. SAP knowledge.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret a variety of technical information in mathematical and/or narrative form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Physical Requirements
You wil be required to stand and walk. You are occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; taste and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Compensation:
Pay Range:$79,000-$115,000The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee's actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees' equity.Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
