Overview
Essential Function
Serves as the business partner, responsible for managing financial statement and operational analysis, reporting, budgeting/forecasting, and review of company and divisional operations for the Beauty Systems Group (BSG), which is s a network of stores and Direct Sales Consultants selling exclusive professional salon brands to licensed beauty professionals. Additionally, includes developing business models, plans, ad-hoc analysis. The BSG division is a multi-channel function, including stores, direct selling, franchise operations, ecommerce, etc. allowing for cross-functional influence and full P&L oversight.

Primary Duties
Oversees the review of financial statements and underlying operational activities for all applicable division's departments; provides a reasonable level of assurance of the accuracy of the provided information and is responsive to queries from Executive Management.
Manages the budgeting and forecasting process for all companies, and departments for the applicable division. Provides business partner support, including insights about spending trends, cost-savings initiatives, and margin opportunities.
Manages financial operations including operational accounting, statement analytics, operations analysis and variance explanations.
Manages monthly and quarterly presentations, including financial reviews and Board of Director materials. Support special projects and ad-hoc requests, inclusive of M&A activity, as needed to provide analytical and decision-making support on initiatives.
Leads projects to identify opportunities for financial / operational improvements and modeling of future business endeavors. Continuously improves procedures and systems to enhance financial functions.
Lead, coach and mentor a team of finance professionals.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- MBA preferred
- 7+ years of accounting or finance experience
- Previous experience in month-end close processes
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Access)
- Oracle EPM (Hyperion/Essbase) knowledge / experience preferred

Working Conditions /Physical Requirements
- The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work.
