The analyst’s primary objective is to support Tier 1 Invest programs and projects within the EPO by driving the elicitation and documentation of the business and solution requirements deliverable with the Project Sponsor, Subject Matter Experts (SME’s), application owners, architects, test manager, security, as well as other project stakeholders. (i.e., Risk, Compliance, Legal, etc.)

Serve as a key liaison between the lines of business (LOB), key stakeholders, and Enterprise Technology.

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Contributing member of the project team, responsible for coordinating the business and solution requirements planning, elicitation, facilitation, documentation, review, and approval activities for the projects to which they are assigned, supporting multiple business units, cross-functional teams, channels and/or other logical business functions

Duties include:

  • Serve as a key liaison between Business, EPO, Enterprise Technology teams and other LOBs.

  • Ability to drive requirements for the project based on the approved Project Charter objectives and scope items.

  • Plan, elicit, document, analyze and validate requirements.

  • Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions and walkthroughs with Business, project stakeholders, and other Truist resources, as identified on the current RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed).

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Strict adherence to PMLC

  • Strict adherence to TDLC.

  • Familiar with agile delivery, including SAFe and Kanban methodologies.

  • Attend project and executive management meetings as needed.

  • Develop, document, and/or revise process flow charts.

  • Coach and mentor Business Analyst teammates and/or teammate responsible for the Business and Solution requirements for upstream and downstream applications.

  • Contribute to strategic business process modeling, traceability and quality management techniques

  • Responsible for picking up on issues, risks, and dependencies throughout the requirements analysis process.

  • Responsible for reporting all issues, risks, and dependencies.

  • Responsible coaching and mentoring other Truist teammates around the PMLC and TDLC processes.

  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or IT, or equivalent education and related training.

  • Four years of professional consulting, project analyst or relevant industry experience, with three years of specializing in systems implementations, merger integration, business transformation and change management.

  • Strong analytical skills; excellent fact-gathering and business process mapping.

  • Self-starter, highly motivated, change agent Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration and leadership skills.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Information Systems, relevant business discipline or equivalent work experience

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst with experience in one or more of the following areas: Project Management, Business Process Management, Relationship Management, Business Operations, or Quality Management.

  • Experience planning, facilitating, eliciting, documenting and managing business and solution requirements.

  • Strong meeting facilitation, presentation, verbal and written skills.

  • Computer proficient along with proficiency in the use of the MS Office suite including Visio.

  • Understanding of systems engineering concepts

  • Ability to effectively interface with staff at all levels.

  • Strong critical / analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as a productive, positive member of a team.

  • Ability to travel as needed, occasionally overnight.

  • International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) certification.

  • Strong understanding, knowledge, and background in banking and financial services.

  • An understanding of current trends and technology.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical data.

  • Ability to write features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

  • Experience in an Agile environment.
