As a Sr. Accountant, Controllership here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in the finance team, supporting the controllership function for the Industrial Automation segment. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting policies and internal controls, and driving the financial close processes. Your expertise in financial analysis and reporting will provide valuable insights and recommendations to support decision-making. This role reports to the Assistant Controller.
This job may sit in eitherCharlotte, NCorHouston, TXon a hybrid schedule.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accounting operations: Monthly close activities, reporting and account analysis for the Industrial Automation segment. Partner with regional shared service centers. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with accounting policies.
- Business partnership: Support transactions and provide financial analysis and accounting insight to achieve desired business and accounting outcomes.
- Financial reporting: Prepare schedules used in the quarterly and annual financial statements and footnotes.
- Audit and Controls: Respond to audit requests and inquiries supporting quarterly and annual financial statements as well as SOX and compliance testing.
- Special projects: Execute projects such as support of acquisition or divestiture transactions and finance functional transformation

YOU MUST HAVE
- CPA or equivalent certification (or actively working toward credentialing)
- 2+ years of experience in a large public accounting firm
WE VALUE
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance, or related field
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and business processes
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving, decision making and organization skills
- Experience in Excel
- SAP Experience preferred
