National Grid is hiring aSenior Supervisor, Internal and External, Capital Delivery Supervision for Massachusetts. Northboro MA, Waltham MA, Hybrid. Ability to travel throughout our service territory for critical meetings where face to face interaction is of high value.
Job Purpose
The role holder is responsible for the construction, safety, reliability, security, and integrity of OverheadElectric Distribution projects through the daily supervision and organization of distribution line constructioncontracted workforce to complete job tasks while complying with Company, Departmental and Regulatory policies,procedures and statutory requirements. Supervise contracted overhead personnel to assure the timely and cost effective completion of work within the area of responsibility. Provide emergency storm response and supervisionof external line resources during emergency restoration operations.
Key Accountabilities
- Supervise a culturally diverse workforce through coaching, counseling and team building to ensure tasks arecarried out in an efficient manner.
- Oversee Overhead Electric Contracted workforce to ensure allocated resources are fully utilized to deliveragainst agreed upon work plan and execute work activities within planned unit and budget cost.
- Ensure supervised Overhead Electric Contracted workforce comply with safety standards, policies andprocesses in order to ensure a safe working environment and minimize risk for all staff.
- Review, ensure accuracy and execute the approval of contractor's units in ACIS and pefs in CMAExecute all work tasks in compliance with all Company, Federal and State policy and regulatory requirements.
- Build good working relationships with internal & external customers and manage the day-to-day relationshipwith them to understand their requirements and deliver appropriate solutions within National Grid policies andprocesses.
- Act as the Overhead Distribution Line Contracting group's first point of contact for multiple internal stakeholdersand outside agencies in order to provide support and ensure National Grid deliver against service levelagreement.
- Promote and implement Overhead Electric Construction's best practices to ensure all work tasks achieve highproductivity and low costs.
Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required
- Ability to build effective, respectful, working relationships.
- Excellent communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in a related area or 5 years of related Overhead experience or committed to 'onthe job' training programs with practical experience of methods, processes, and techniques relevant to area ordiscipline.
- Technically proficient within subject matter and experience of leading a team involved in Overhead Fieldoperations activities is preferred.
- Must have or possess the ability to develop a working knowledge of information systems critical to the workmanagement, financial reporting and performance tracking of the Distribution Line Contracting Department.
- Must have or possess the ability to develop knowledge and understanding of National Grid's policies andprocesses and how to apply them effectively to the Overhead Electric Contracting Department.
- Must have demonstrated or possess the skills to build effective, respectful, working relationships.
- Previous experience in the construction, maintenance and operation of Overhead electric infrastructure ispreferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.

Salary - $123,000 - $145,000
