Join BAE Systems as a Senior Subcontracts Administrator who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, challenging environment while supporting proposals and programs with multiple contract types. You will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team to perform coordination, negotiation, and management of highly-complex proposals and subcontracts with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of business agreements and government and commercial contracting methods to provide appropriate guidance and support; experience preparing and reviewing proposals; developing evaluation criteria; negotiating subcontract provisions; selecting or recommending subcontractors; writing subcontract packages; preparing awards; and administering resulting subcontracts as well as negotiating additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts. The ability to multitask as well as work independently and manage cross-functional program teams on all subcontract-related issues will be critical skillset for success. The aptitude to assess, prioritize, and drive issues to closure and be assertive when required; exercise discretion and independent judgment in performance of duties; exhibit best-practice work habits; collaborate with subcontract team members to promote operational excellence; deliver quality customer service to internal and external customers; and foster and maintain good supplier relationships will be key for performance.
The position is classified as hybrid reporting into a BAE Systems office location three-days per week at a minimum. The successful candidate for selection will reside in the Washington, DC area and be willing to accomodate a hybrid schedule to support business needs.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Build, review, and approve CPSR compliant file documentation
- Represent BAE Systems as the official interface between program management and other external suppliers
- Prepare proposal and other business documents for execution. Examples include Request for Proposal, price analysis, small business plans, and written narrative documents related to subcontractor's requirements and/or performance
- Review and verify accuracy and completeness of proposal packages
- Coordinate subcontractor proposals with internal team
- Review subcontractor proposals and negotiate the terms and conditions
- Prepare subcontract documents and amendments including identification and inclusion of cascaded requirements from the prime contract ensuring terms and conditions will be appropriate
- Prepare reports and contractual correspondence for project management
- Coordinating and providing advice and interpretation of contract and subcontract requirements to both internal and external customers
- Perform price analysis to ensure reasonableness of pricing for BAE Systems in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies
- Perform subcontract closeout actions, complete file documentation, and transfer files accordingly
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate and/or required
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelors degree and four years minimum of industry experience with federal government contracting and subcontracting administration
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs
- Experience managing diverse subcontractors; both large and small businesses
- Experience awarding and managing diverse subcontract types
- Proficient with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) and defense contracting
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
- Excellent organization and follow-through skills
- Costpoint experience
- Willingness and desire for continuous improvement
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to find win-win solutions with a make-it-happen attitude
- Understanding and knowledge of CPSR audits and requirements

Salesforce and DocuSign experience
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $81156 - $137964
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
