In BARDS (Biostatistics and Research Decision Sciences), a distinguished department within our company's renowned Research and Development division, quantitative scientists, in partnership with other subject matter experts, apply state-of-the art scientific methodologies and tools to enable the discovery, development, regulatory approval, manufacturing, and marketing of medical drugs and vaccines for the benefit of patients and global human health.
Responsibilities:
- Enhance the development of translational and clinical biomarkers through advanced computer vision solutions.
- Ensures that sound scientific principles and analytic methods are applied.
- Utilizes data analytic methods including statistical modeling, machine learning, and visualization.
- Interacts with people with diverse background and expertise, including research scientists, clinical scientists, regulatory experts, IT specialists, and other teams inour Research & Development Division.
Primary activities:
- Develop deep learning based computer vision platform for translational and clinical applications
- Serves as statistical representative in the cross-functional teams for product discovery and development.
- Ensures that study designs are consistent with program objectives and meet worldwide regulatory and marketing needs.
- Identifies technical or other potential problems arising in the design, conduct, and analysis of non-clinical or clinical studies, proposes solutions and carries them out.
- Identifies opportunities to add value to drug / vaccine discovery and development programs.
- Analyzes data and interprets results from non-clinical or clinical studies.
- Applies and implements basic and complex statistical techniques to these analyses.
- Orally presents and prepares written reports to effectively communicate analysis results to audience with diverse background and expertise.
- Provides responses to queries relating to study design, analysis, and interpretation posed by the research scientists, clinical scientists, and regulatory agencies.
- Is involved in research activities for innovative statistical methods
Education Minimum Requirement:
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Statistics / Biostatistics /Computer Science/Data Science or related disciplines or
- A Master's degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Demonstrated expertise in deep learning methodologies and applications.
- Demonstrated strong programming skills, especially in Python.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to function well both independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated interest in data analytic methodology research and in application of novel methods to real-world problems.
- Demonstrated ability to learn, be proactive and motivated, and consistently focus on details and prompt execution.
- Ability to collaborate with scientists and work on multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Solid knowledge of imaging analysis, preferably with the following imaging platforms: IHC, H&E , mIF
- Knowledge of generating, processing, and analyzing large and complex data generated by modern life science technologies.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected US salary range:
$114,700.00 - $180,500.00Available benefits include bonus eligibility, long term incentive if applicable, health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and sick days. A summary of benefits is listed here.
