The Phoenix, Arizona site of BAE Systems in support of Combat Mission Systems is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer. In this role as a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be charged to support several products within a given program area/market segment. You'll work in an Integrated Project Team (IPT) environment and be responsible for coordinating all aspects of quality for the team.

Full-Time Salary Range: $86460 - $146982
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

In this role as a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be charged to support several products within a given program area/market segment. You'll work in an Integrated Project Team (IPT) environment and be responsible for coordinating all aspects of quality for the team.
As a senior level Quality Engineer, you will:
- Provide oversight of all aspects of product quality relating to assigned programs including inspection methods, data collection, data analysis, non-conforming material dispositions, and product/ process quality assurance.
- Investigate and produce corrective actions meeting on-time submittal and acceptable quality standards for root cause analysis and preventative action effectiveness.
- Ensure on-time implementation of corrective actions and verification of preventative action effectiveness.
- Coordinate and lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
- Support Supplier Quality Engineering and support source inspections, process audits and implementation of supplier development plans on an as-needed basis.
- Support company proposal efforts by providing quality labor and materials estimates using various estimating tools such as Basis of Estimate (BOEs) and ProPricer.
- Gather and report results from weekly and monthly quality metrics for all assigned programs.
- Perform continuous improvement activities to improve departmental and/or program capability in areas of inspection, cost of quality, quantitative process control or general process efficiency.
- Interface with DCMA representatives as required.
- Typically, this position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical degree, and four years of experience supporting Quality Assurance, or the overall equivalent.
- Quality experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Prior experience with the deployment and management of a Quality Management System (QMS).
- Familiarity and working knowledge of the AS9100D / ISO 9001 standard.
- Strength in planning, time management, and organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current or ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Computer literacy particularly in MS Office Suite.
- Able to support on-site at the Phoenix, AZ location.
- Experience operating in an organization with government quality oversight.
- Familiarity with FAR/DFAR requirements.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and/or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA).
- Lean and process improvement tools/methods, Six Sigma, SPC techniques, and PFMEA.
- Proficiency in statistical software (Minitab, JMP, Infinity QS, etc.)
