Compliance, Legal, & Regulatory Relations (CLAR) Technology has embarked on an ambitious Risk Transformation program and as part of that we are looking for an Application Engineer who will be part of the application support and development team and be responsible for assisting with supporting existing platforms that manage business processes and reporting in the Financial Crimes and Anti-Bribery & Corruption area.
We are looking for a Senior Java Software Engineer with experience in design, development, implementation and support of enterprise systems, handling business workflows, reporting and integrations with upstream systems. The candidate will work closely with the Corporate Risk Governance organization in building and supporting an enterprise platform. This is a unique opportunity to make a huge impact to CLAR Technology organization as various transformational projects are implemented.
Position Responsibilities and Expected Outcomes:
- Acts in the technical role as an individual contributor for the most complex computer applications and/or application initiatives.
- Utilizes a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs.
- Drives and participates in design and implementation of large software solutions.
- Analyzes highly complex business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign complex computer platforms and applications.
- Works closely with developers and testers to ensure requirements and functional designs are translated accurately into working technical designs and that test plans and scripts meet customer needs.
- Works with developers and business partners to understand application defects, performance problems and data anomalies.
- Plans, performs, and acts as the escalation point for the most complex platform designs and testing.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of Java web application development experience
- 3+ years of experience with Spring, Spring Batch, and Spring Boot
- 2+ years of JavaScript framework experience (YUI, Angular)
- 2+ years' experience with CI/CD pipeline development
- 2+ years of MS SQL server experience
- 1+ year of Agile experience
- 1+ year of RESTful API experience
Desired qualifications:
- Experience with SharePoint online application development, Power Apps and Power automate
- 1+ years of JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) development experience
- 1+ years of risk and regulatory compliance experience
- SONARQUBE integration
- Agile experience and understanding of version control (GIT), CICD, uDeploy, Jenkins and able to generate documentation as required
- Ability to gather and document technical requirements
- Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations
- An industry-standard technology certification
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Wells Fargo software engineering experience
- An industry-standard technology certification
- A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology
