Ground Control Business Management, a subsidiary of NFP is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper.
The Senior Bookkeeper is responsible for assisting with all day-to-day business, personal, and financial matters for assigned clients and entities. This position requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and close attention to detail. This role demands proactive problem solving, independent decision making and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency. This is a full-time position that is required to be onsite on a hybrid basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manages accounts receivable and accounts payable making sure to do so following company processes and guidelines
• Monitors and tracks all upcoming payments, following up on any pending open payments as necessary to ensure timely processing
• Serves as the primary point of contact for vendors, managing communications and resolving issues related to payments, invoices and contracts
• Knowledge of Chart of Accounts (personal and corporation).
• Monitors daily client activity, handle requests, and conducts timely follow ups on outstanding matters.
• Reviews bank balances daily and funds accordingly.
• Prepares daily and monthly bank reconciliations at the direction of the Account Manager, ensuring accuracy and identifying discrepancies for prompt resolution
• Completes billing timesheets daily
• Sorts, scans, and processes all incoming mail.
• Prepares and sends outgoing client mail
• Prepares checks for deposit.
• Downloads & reviews monthly payroll reports and records as necessary or instructed by the Account Manager
• Identifies inefficiencies in current bookkeeping processes and implements changes to improve accuracy, efficiency and compliance with firm standards
• Works closely with business management teams to ensure clean and accurate books.
• Submits and maintains client medical claims, ensuring accuracy and timely processing while maintaining client confidentiality
• Other related duties as assigned.

The base salary range for this position is $70,000 – $85,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
