Our PR agency client is looking for a Senior Account Executive to assist their team!
This is a fully remote, freelance to full time role, 40 hrs per week. The role will be 6 months freelance, with goal to convert to full time after 6 months.*Candidates will need to provide their own computer for the freelance portion of the role*
In this role, the Senior Account Executive will:
- Write and edit content, ensuring tone and context align with client communication objectives. This includes press releases, byline articles, pitches, backgrounders, whitepapers, status reports, awards and speaking submissions and strategic plans with minimal direction
- Develop and refine ideas into compelling proposals, pitches and deliverables
- Proactively pitch client stories to secure high-impact media placements that enhance brand awareness and support communication objectives
- Generate media coverage by facilitating calls between executives and journalists
- Develop and maintain briefing materials, press lists, and media databases
- Take a proactive role in client communications, confidently managing correspondence and fostering relationships with minimal managerial oversight
- Participate in and lead client calls and meetings
- Work closely with account directors, junior team members, and external partners to ensure seamless execution of client programs and alignment with strategic goals
- Track time accurately, ensuring billable hours are recorded
The ideal candidate will have:
- Public Relations experience for clients in healthcare, B2B, science and/ or infrastructure engineering
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong command of AP style
- Proven ability to create a wide range of professional content with minimal supervision
- Experience in media relations, including proactive pitching and journalist engagement
- Proficiency in using tools like Cision and Harvest for media research and time tracking
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to align client objectives with actionable communication plans
- Demonstrated client service experience with growing confidence in leading client-facing interactions
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
