The 4-Star Full Service property is nestled in the lush greens of Southern Colorado Springs and oversees Impressive mountain views, along with exciting activities like golf, swimming, and tennis. These allow for the unique experience that you can only get at this resort. Salary Range: $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.Position Overview: The Security Director is responsible for the oversight of safety and security of the hotel. The successful candidate will effectively and efficiently manage the security function of the hotel so that its guests, associates, operations, and assets are protected and secure. This position serves as the Functional Head of the Hotel Security Department and is responsible for all safety and security matters at the property. This position will serve as the Security and Safety Advisor to the Director of Rooms. Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Security support to all departments across the Hotel Safety office to train and implement all colleagues
- Fire Safety – including patrols and hazard identification
- Employee and Asset Protection
- Maintenance of the Hotel’s Emergency Management Plan
- Development and implementation of various Hotel Safety & Security procedures
- Ensuring compliance with company policy and procedure
- Incident response, investigation and report writing
- Monitoring CCTV and internal alarms
- Providing proactive public security presence
- Monitor activities of guests and team members inside hotel premises via closed-circuit television (CCTV) system and personal observation, for criminal activities and/or violations of regulations, policies and procedures, or internal controls.
- Monitor the alarm system.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all property-related issues.
- Protect the assets of the company.
- Provide outstanding customer and team member service at all times.
- Completing all necessary reporting at the end of the shift.
- Ensure appropriate staffing coverage across all shifts while proactively monitoring schedules.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
We are seeking a disciplined and passionate individual with a minimum of 3 years experience in a Security Management role within a hotel environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to customer care, safety and security, be computer literate and possess strong administration skills.
- Investigations qualification or experience is desirable
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation
- Proven ability in conflict de-escalation skills
- Computer literate – Word, Excel and Access
- Ability to work varying shifts
