Patient Population:Patients of all acuities, ages, and stages of life.

Patient Ratios: 1:4

Number of Beds: 21

Department Specifics: 20k+ visits per year, Level III Trauma Center, Primary Heart Attack Center, Primary Stroke Center, In-house L&D services, National Certification Champion Award winner from Board Certification of Emergency Nursing (BCEN) with 56% certification rate, 100% Board Certified Emergency Physicians, and strong unit engagement through an active shared governance council.

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Centennial is a full-service 118 bed hospital serving Frisco and the surrounding communities. With more than 600 specialists on our medical staff, our services include digestive care, labor and delivery, heart health, emergency and trauma care, surgical services, orthopedics, intensive care, internal medicine, and more. We are the only Trauma Center (Level III) in Frisco and are certified as a Primary Stroke and Primary Heart Attack Center by the Texas Department of State Health Services and by The Joint Commission.

We have the distinction of being the first Level III Maternal facility in Frisco. In addition, we hold a NICU Level II designation. Registered Nurse Requirements

• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program

• License/Certification

• RN - Registered Nurse

• BLS - Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited course or have at least 2 years of experience surpassing the minimal qualification required.
• Field of Study: The applicable major should be nursing.
• A minimum of 2 years in a relevant role is expected.
• Certification: Hold a BLS certificate now or obtain within 30 days of starting in this role.
