About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Residential Senior Valuation Specialist. As an experienced Real Estate Appraiser, the candidate will be expected to be an expert at completing challenging valuation assignments of all types of residential properties at any transaction amount. This candidate is expected to meet production goals and perform quality and rating accuracy audits on other Valuation Specialists’ reviews.
This position is 100% remote, but the Appraiser should reside within the continental United States.
In this role, you will:
- Perform quality review of complex and non-complex valuation reports. Reports consist of residential appraisals, appraisal reviews, and BPO’s/Evaluations covering the entire united states.
- Ensure valuation reviews are completed in a timely manner with the highest level of quality, reviewing for reasonableness of the value conclusion, compliance to Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) (when applicable), accuracy of data reported within the valuation, and appropriate use of valuation techniques and methodologies
- Demonstrate advanced use of various appraisal related technologies throughout the appraisal process
- Exercise sound judgment and work independently with a minimal amount of supervision
- Complete production standards and special projects while supporting the quality assurance team
- Audit other Valuations Specialists’ reviews for quality and accuracy
- Provide mentoring to other Valuation Specialists on timely review completion, quality, and compliance
- Review department results and evaluate quality and compliance with department standards
- Assist in developing and maintaining residential valuation processes and procedures for quality assurance team, ensuring compliance with company policies
- Assist in driving consistency between review teams by collaborating with quality assurance managers and administration staff to improve processes, published job aids, and team metrics
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Valuations, Lending, or Underwriting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Expanded knowledge and understanding of the principles of real estate appraisal and real estate markets
- Ability to research and analyze market data on a national level and provide meaningful conclusions
- National appraisal review experience
- Ability to achieve high production and quality standards
- Excellent verbal, written (clear and concise), and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organization and analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to take initiative, meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment.
- Strong technical skills with appraisal related tools including computer technology, appraisal software, automated valuation tools and Multiple Listing Services.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) skills.
- Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Must be Real Estate Appraiser

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
