Produce high quality products and services for our customers. You will assemble and inspect product to ensure the highest quality product is provided to our customers. You will be responsible for your work area to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the area. You will set up and monitor the production of product in your area and participate in the continuous improvement process at the site to address safety, production and quality improvements.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform laboratory experiments up to kilo-scale involving hazardous materials
under the direction of a chemist or chemical engineer
* Work includes support for lab experiments, calculations, data analysis, maintaining
records, and the accurate reporting of data
* Perform troubleshooting on kilo-lab scale equipment.
* Perform routine lab HSE and HOS tasks
The annual base salary range for this position is <$min 39.22 - $mid 39.22>. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. In October, 2024 Honeywell announced the spin-off of our Advanced Materials business to become a stand-alone publicly traded company, independent of Honeywell. Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs.
YOU MUST HAVE
Education/Experience:
Minimum of a two-year chemistry related degree is required, or
for Internal Applicants 5 years total chemical operator experience with minimum 1 year
in Pilot Plant; we value four-year chemistry related degree.
Technical skills:
* Must be able to work safely with hazardous materials including hydrofluoric acid
(HF), fluorosulfonic acid (FSA), etc.
* Must have good chemical knowledge and mechanical aptitude to assemble, run and
troubleshoot chemical experiments and equipment
* Must demonstrate ability to learn and use analytical equipment needed in support
of processes including Gas-chromatograph and other laboratory instruments
* Be able to use computer software such as Microsoft Office applications (Outlook,
Word, Excel), and process control software
Physical requirements:
* Be able to move up to 600-pound drums and 250-pound gas cylinders utilizing
appropriate handling equipment, lift and carry up to 35-pound pails, climb ladders
and scaffolding, wear all PPE and respiratory equipment, and
* Be able to work rotating 8-hour shifts.
Hours:
- Training will take place on the 1st shift, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- After training, the role will transition to the 2nd shift, from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM for a period of approximately 9 months
- Following this, the position will switch to rotating shifts
- Overtime is included in this role
