Responsibilities*
Responsibilities
- Providing direct patient care to adult/pediatric ambulatory surgical population
- Critical airway management
- Vital signs
- Monitoring EKG
- Pain management
- PONC management
- Activities of daily living
- Care is inclusive of the entire perioperative experience
- RN will rotate between Pre op, Phase I, Phase II, extended stay, short stay unit.
- Provide patient/family education
- Charge nurse responsibilities on unit as assigned

Nursing Specific Info
Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level E.
Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position. Posting may be filled after the initial 5-day posting period.

Required Qualifications*
- Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Michigan
- Minimum of two (2) years of Surgical PACU experience (Phase I required within 1 year)
- Pre-Op experience within the last one (1) year
- Current PACU Adult experience
- ACLS and PALS Certification
- Experience with critical airway management
- Demonstrated proficiency with IV starts
- Proficient in Michart (Optime)In order to be considered for this position the applicant must have met or will have met all the required qualifications prior to the start date of employment.

Work Schedule
Hours/Week: 30 hours/week
Shift/Hours: Straight Evening shift, Monday through Friday, 10 hour shifts. (Hours may be variable based on patient and volume needs, with flexibility required. This may include weekends and holidays)
Location: East Ann Arbor Surgery Center: PREOP/ PACU

Union Affiliation
