40Summary:
The Referral Coordinator is a full-time position responsible for managing and coordinating new patient referrals. This may include but is not limited to coordination of clinical review, communication with referring provider (clinic), coordination of referrals such as rehab, audiology, clinical therapy and specialists as well as insurance eligibility verification.
Education & Experience:
High School graduate or equivalent.
At least two years' experience in a medical office.
Pediatric experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Exhibits good interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of insurance plans and medical terminology.
Maturity to withstand pressure that may arise in relation to public and provider.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:
NRCMA (Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant) required.
CPR required.
