The Associate Data Governance Consultant - Change Communication Coordinator Role is responsible for effectively conveying information about upcoming changes within the data management organization to all relevant stakeholders, ensuring they understand the "why" behind the change, how it will impact them, and what actions they need to take to adapt successfully; the role will act as a bridge between the project agile teams and stakeholders to manage the change throughout the implementation process.

The role will work with the Enterprise Data Program Management Office to lead and provide oversight for the change management function of large and complex data governance initiatives/programs, engaging with multiple concurrent teams and projects. They will communicate these changes effectively. Assesses key program activities for change management, then tracks and manages the change management plan and implementation of the plan for the program while meeting rigorous control and oversight mandates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Implement, support and communicate Enterprise Data Management policies, standards and technology. Execute processes and procedures to support data standards and control frameworks.
2. Provide communication around the planning and execution of data management activities such as data sourcing, metadata management, data quality, data privacy or records management.
3. Assist in data governance efforts that span across platforms and business/technology areas to address enterprise data needs.
4. Implement strategic data governance capabilities by working with business and technology partners to document requirements and create action plans.
5. Perform oversight and inspection of critical data management practices for adherence to established data policies and control frameworks.
6. Identify data issues and work with technology, risk and business partners to triage, track, communicate, mitigate and remediate the issues to closure.
7. Support the production of metrics and measures to track progress and adherence, escalating as needed to various committees for visibility and program accountability.
8. Maintain awareness of relevant regulations, industry trends and emerging technologies.
9. Collaborate closely with peer teams to ensure coordination, synergy and seamless overall execution.
10. Identify and advocate for improvements in enterprise data management practices.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in related field, five years of experience in technology, data management, governance, risk or related practice or equivalent education and related training or experience

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Internal or external consulting experience
2. Experience with formalized organizational assessment practices (e.g. Capability Maturity Model), including implementation of recommended improvements
3. Knowledge of data tools and platforms used for managing, storing, querying, testing, loading and transforming data (e.g. SAS, Informatica, Oracle, Teradata) or relevant data certifications (e.g. CIPP, CIPM)

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Three years of experience in Program/project mgmt. with knowledge of related tools and methodologies, including Agile and SAFe framework

2. Two years experience in technical writing and/or communications

3. Data Governance and/or Data Management Certifications (e.g., Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP), ICCP Certified Data Governance Professional, DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or similar certification)

4. History of effective performance within shared service, matrix or federated environments
