Job Description:

Project Manager

Apex Systems is a global IT services provider and our consulting practice has an opening for a Project Manager. This person will act a liaison between the technical and business teams to ensure teams and project are running smoothly for a Top Five Bank.

Client: Big 5 Bank

Location: Hybrid (1-2 days a week), Downtown Toronto, Ontario

Terms: 3-6 Month rolling Contract, Strong possibility of extension or converting fulltime based on project budget & candidate performance.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Responsibilities: This PM with Scrum experience will hold a range of the following responsibilities depending on the project at hand. The candidate will be expected to be a liaison between the COE team and help with tracking financials, budget, managing the team and ensuring the project is meeting timelines. This consultant must have experience with the full SDLC and process improvement.

Biggest priority is finding someone who stays on top of projects, deadlines and tracks financials

Requirements:

· Ability and experience holding a PM/consultant role with a combination of skills in at least a few of the following: Project manager or Scrum

· 5+ years experience as a PM

· Experience with tracking financials, red/yellow/green status on projects and deadlines, manage financials, provide management updates, build work/breakdown structure

· Excellent communication and presentation skills

· Previous Banking Experience

Nice to Have:

· Knowledge/background of Pega is an asset NOT mandatory

· Onboarding Application to Cloud

· CloudHub experience

· Cards / Payments Experience

· PMO Technology

Soft skills:

This team is looking for candidates who have a very go-getter attitude. The team wants candidates who are willing to go above and beyond to make these projects successful and put in extra work when needed.

Team dynamics and business:

How will this individual fit into the team and how collaborative will this role be?” Will be very collaborative along with the 4 others of this skillset they will hire. This person will work closely also with the Technology PMs, Business PMs, Traders, external vendors, consumers, and competitors, as well as Senior management from across the organization potentially.
