As a Program Manager III (Mandates), you will provide program management services for business units and/or company-wide initiative(s) with accountability for medium to large-scale matrixed projects of moderate or medium complexity. Project durations will vary but could last 1-18 months, and you may manage multiple projects at a time with little to no supervision. You will be responsible for detailed planning through implementation, applying standard project management methodologies to manage scope, budget, and timing. You may also participate in the visioning process, developing budget and scope as assigned. You will serve as the IT lead on large-scale projects, and may oversee the work of project support associates, providing mentoring support and team leadership of the project team.

This is a hybrid role on our campus in Mountlake Terrace, Washington.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and manage moderately complex project plans, budgets/financial data, and resource needs.

  • Manage conflicting priorities with other projects and matrixed team members to ensure project success.

  • Prioritize and influence team members, senior leaders, and project sponsor(s) to successfully execute on plan. Interface regularly with leadership up to the VP level.

  • With leadership guidance, evaluate and solve difficult problems that impact the overall success of the assigned project(s).

  • Synthesize disparate observations and data to create conclusions and make recommendations for project sponsor and/or leadership.

  • Develop and communicate expectations and success measures with team and partners.

  • Monitor process, progress, and results against success measures.

  • Communicate both orally and in written forms (formal and informal), with project team and partners.

  • May supervise lower-level project support associates.

  • Operate in a highly technical environment.

  • Consult with clients and teammates to identify all facets of an issue and generate a solution.

What you’ll bring:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or (4) years of work experience.

  • (5) years of project/program management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP Certification.

  • Versed in multiple project management methods (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Lean, Extreme, Prince2).

  • Healthcare industry knowledge.

  • Experience working in different industries; demonstrated history of natural progression with responsibilities and/or project size/complexity.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to be adaptive and successfully maneuver within complex technology system organizations.

  • Experience leading projects within a Program/Project Management organization.

  • Working knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft Project, and Visio.

  • Must have a strong working knowledge of the SDLC and how it relates to the project lifecycle method.

  • Working knowledge of project planning/management; able to develop and manage project plans; identify and secure needed resources; escalate conflicting priorities with other projects and matrixed team members; influence team members to successfully execute on plan.

  • Ability to seek input from stakeholders prior to making decisions; use rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with complex solutions which impact overall success of projects.

  • The ability to drive needed messaging and decision-making with all audiences, including project leadership, and in all forms (e.g., written, oral, developing, and performing presentations).

  • Effectively manage ambiguity in all aspects of work, including business direction and strategy. Includes the ability to synthesize disparate observations and data to create conclusions and recommendations, and lead project team through change with minimal impact on results.

  • Ability to operate a computer in a Windows environment utilizing Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Must have PPM tool experience in the PM role and have accountability for ensuring adherence across the project team.

  • Track record of consistently driving projects to completion and taking accountability for work and results. Demonstrated ability to form constructive opinions and defend them.

  • Experience with technology implementations and deployment of business systems.

  • Understands potential impacts to processes and systems across organization and factor these into solutions. Excellent conceptualization, analytical, and logic skills.

The pay for this role will vary based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographic location, market conditions, and specific skills and experience.

The salary range for this role is posted below; we generally target up to and around the midpoint of the range.

National Plus Salary Range:

$109,000.00 - $185,300.00

*National Plus salary range is used in higher cost of labor markets including Western Washington and Alaska.
