Principal Product Designer
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Principal Product Designer to lead the design of innovative and user-centered products. This role focuses on creating effective dashboards and complex systems while ensuring the highest quality in user experience through research and usability testing. This role is ONSITE in NYC 3 days a week and remote 2 days. Ideally you have B2B experience
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design projects from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with product vision and user needs.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
- Create high-fidelity design mockups and prototypes using Figma to communicate design concepts effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement product roadmaps that meet business objectives.
- Design and iterate on user interfaces for complex systems, ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience for users.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to the overall growth of the design team.
- Maintain attention to detail in all design deliverables and communicate design rationale to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on B2B applications.
- Strong portfolio showcasing experience in designing dashboards and complex systems.
- Proficiency in Figma and other design tools for creating high-fidelity mockups and prototypes.
- Experience in conducting user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present ideas clearly to stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of UI and UX principles, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
