Position Summary:
Mount printing plates for presses following production schedule. You will report to and receive work direction from the Plate Room Supervisor onsite in our Maple Grove facility.
Position Responsibilities:
- You will maintain a mounted plate inventory required two-day lead based on production schedule requirements along with sticky back, proofing inks, proofing paper, solvents, and rags.
- You will need to meet plate mounting needs based on emergencies, schedule changes or damaged plates from the presses. Underlay as needed.
- You will prepare and inventory patch plates mounted on sticky back 12 hours before needed.
- You will provide signed off proofs for all plates mounted to aid the press operator.
- You will proof out all new artwork.
- You will assist Pre-Press/Graphics Team Lead with rollers/anilox area, as directed.
- You will maintain hand truck in clean and fully charged status.
- Maintain Plate Mounting Master Sanitation list per SQF requirements.
- Keep plates clean and wrapped for delivery to the presses to eliminate contamination issues.
- Make sure to follow GMP1, GMP2, HACCP, Regulatory, and traceability for SQF compliance.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 1 year of Manufacturing experience
- 20/20 (corrected) vision
- Unrestricted color perception
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
Skills required:
- Read/write English and excellent verbal and written/communication skills.
- Work with all staff, including all levels of management.
- Perform arithmetic functions and trend analysis.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
- Must be a team player and support management decisions.
