Calling all photo styling assistants! Our retail client is looking to build a pipeline of photo styling assistants for their freelance roster.
These are an onsite freelance roles that will either be in studio or on location depending on the shoot. Once you are on their roster, there are plenty of opportunities for call backs.
The photo styling assistant will be responsible for:
- Assist and learn from the Lead Stylist in the execution and completion of all assignments achieving high-quality imagery while maintaining brand identity
- Helping style different props including food, furniture, soft goods
- Create believable lifestyle scenes for photos
- Work with models and wardrobe on occasion
- Steaming, propping and getting soft and hard goods ready for photos shoots
- Contributing to planning and Packing props for a photo shoot- mostly during local shoots
- Contribute creatively and collaborates to fulfill photo requirements within layout, time and budget constraints.
- Keeping the prop room and all props accounted for, organized.
- Maintain all stylist equipment to ensure longevity and cost-effective use of rental equipment, supplies, and consumables.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience steaming, propping, and is great with tools (drills, etc)
- Understanding of how to achieve different styles with props ranging from food, furniture, soft goods, and create natural and believable lifestyle imagery/video.
- Experience working as a photo styling assistant
- Experience with retail photoshoots and clients
- Experience working on set
- Ability to be onsite
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
