Works in conjunction with all areas of Information Technology to include multimedia support services, distance learning, PC support, networking and phone support to provide first level problem tracking, identification and support for end users via telephone, e-mail, web and in person.
- Evaluate automated processing methods and systems and develop documentation for deficiencies to ensure problems are routed to appropriate departments for as necessary according established guidelines.
- Provide information and guidance to College employees on technology systems and techniques, applications, utilities, operation and uses of computer hardware, software and peripheral equipment. Help user understand the steps required in using a particular piece of application software to perform a specific task.
- Provide technical support to end users on computer hardware including desktop computers, printers and scanners. Troubleshooting computer software, hardware and network problems and determining the appropriate means for rectifying the situation. Troubleshooting multimedia equipment for classroom instruction. Gather information regarding the existence and availability of equipment or information necessary to resolve issues.
- Research hardware/software solutions available to utilize in solving existing problems. Provide assistance for operating systems, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, desktop publishing, graphics packages, etc.
- Work with faculty, staff and other College departments to in an effort to improve end user satisfaction.
EDUCATION: Certification-or-demonstrated knowledge skills and abilities in specialized area EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of applicable experience and/or demonstrated ability in subject area.DESIRABLES: Experience in customer service of computer operations
Special Position Conditions: Selected candidate must possess, or be able to obtain a valid Arizona Drivers License
SALARY: $17.49 per hour up to 19 hours per week

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Duties performed cause light fatigue of eyes, fingers or other faculties as a result of repetitive motion and/or long periods of standing or sitting. Duties require little physical effort in working with light to moderate (up to 20lbs) easy to handle materials.
