Our client, a well-known culinary product brand, is looking for a Packaging Production Artist to join their team.
This opportunity is hybrid onsite in NYC Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday and is remote on Mondays/Fridays. The team is looking for support 40hours/week for at least 3 months with the high probability of extending much longer.
Responsibilities:
- Work efficiently on a high volume of packaging mechanical files to complete weekly
- Take very clean packaging design files (in Illustrator) from the packaging designers and follow a rigorous process and check list (doing production checks, updating minor updates/copy fixes) for getting the files production ready
- Work closely with international teams to streamline and encourage processes are being followed
- Create dielines and mechanical files for a wide range of packaging. Must have a thorough understanding of designing for 3D and of the production and print processes.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience producing packaging production files for high volume production within the CPG/retail/beauty space
- Ability to follow a rigorous check list and process for preparing the mechanicals for packaging design files
- Experience with packaging production and mechanicals, die lines, print production process
- Excellent and strong communication skills to discuss with internal team and support the overseas China team on the process
- Proficient in Adobe InDesign, especially Illustrator
- Experience working with outside vendors ideal
