Cook Children's Physician Network has an exciting opportunity for a board certified/board eligible Neurodevelopmental or Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician to join the Jane and John Justin Institute for Mind Health, Department of Developmental Pediatrics
Seeking candidates, including 2025 & 2026 fellows, with interest in joining a thriving Developmental-Behavioral practice that is supported through collaboration with 7 physicians dedicated to DBP & NDD, 21 child neurologists, 4 neurosurgeons, 6 neuropsychologists, psychiatrists, pain medicine specialists, physiatrist, and psychologists.
Opportunity to develop subspecialty clinical interests related to (neuro)developmental behavioral pediatrics, particularly for patients within existing programs of excellence such as neonatal follow up, epilepsy, movement disorders, stroke, and complex neurogenetic disorders.
Enjoy strong interdisciplinary collaboration and support from related specialties within the Mind Institute, as well as collaboration and medical oversight of special education and Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) at the Cook Child Study Center.
New innovative clinic space that facilitates the group's collaborative care as part of the Mind Institute at Cook Children's.
One of the Nation's only programs with an accredited school dedicated to children with developmental and learning disabilities. The Jane Justin School at the Cook Child Study Center enrolls students between the ages of 3 and 21 years and has been a pillar of education in the community for more than 20 years.
Clinical research and teaching, while not required, are encouraged in your areas of interest. The Neuroscience Research Center at Cook Children's, supported through a $15 million endowment, provides ample research support from dedicated neuroscientists and support staff. Cook Children's is affiliated with 3 medical schools and 21 residency and fellowship programs.
Qualified candidates may participate in the fellow's retention program that will provide a monthly stipend of $2,500 from the time a contract is signed through the start of practice with Cook Children's.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) required.
American Heart Association BLS.
Unrestricted Texas Medical license (must obtain prior to start date).
Must have successfully completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Medical Association (AMA) approved residency for pediatrics.
Board certified/Board Eligible in specialty area.
