We are seeking a Motion Designer for our agency client who can take projects from concept through final animation, contributing to idea development, storyboards, style frames, and polished motion work. You will collaborate with a creative team across a wide range of client projects, producing engaging content that blends strong design with clear storytelling. Preference to candidates in MA, MI, NC, SC, and VT due to payrolling.

You will work on motion pieces ranging from explainer videos to event openers, creating animated content that communicates clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will also have opportunities to experiment, push your creative thinking, and help elevate the overall quality of our motion design work.

What You Will Do

• Develop motion design projects from concept through final delivery
• Create storyboards, style frames, and motion concepts that clearly communicate ideas
• Design and animate compelling motion content for technical and non-technical audiences
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients, presenting ideas clearly and thoughtfully
• Balance creative vision with schedules, budgets, and multiple concurrent projects
• Take initiative, solve problems independently, and raise concerns when needed
• Explore new design approaches, tools, and technologies to elevate your work

  What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of professional experience in motion design
  • Strong understanding of storytelling, design process, and motion principles
  • Ability to translate complex or conceptual ideas into static frames and motion
  • Expert-level proficiency in After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • 3D experience preferred, especially with Cinema 4D
  • Solid understanding of composition, lighting, texture, depth of field, and motion fundamentals
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong visual storytelling and the ability to hold viewer attention
  • Examples of motion work between 60 and 90 seconds in length
  • Work that shows concept development, design thinking, and polished animation
