24Summary:
The Medical Assistant will support various clinics within Cook Children's Physician Network (CCPN) including locations in Prosper, Plano, Frisco, Allen, Celina & Aubrey. Must be able to work independently to deliver competent and skilled care to our pediatric patients and families under the supervision of an assigned RN/LVN and/or physician/nurse practitioner. Will skillfully and consistently perform daily clinical duties per established policies and procedures and easily adjust to working in various clinic locations. The ability to easily learn different clinic routines, procedures, and physician expectations. Must have a team-orientated attitude and an emphasis on good patient relations and sound clinical judgment. Strive to be a role model for all staff, displaying professional adherence to all policies and procedures using impeccable judgment. Must be dependable and adaptable. Weekly travel within region is required.
Hours: 24 hours per week or more depending on coverage needed.
Must be available to work Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
Flat Pay rate: $22.15/hour + reimbursement for mileage and tolls
Required Education and Experience:
Graduate of an accredited school of medical assisting.
1-year or more experience as a medical assistant preferred.
Prior experience working with pediatric patients preferred.
Experience with vaccines preferred.
Certification/Licensure:
Must hold a valid Texas driver's license and current Texas automobile liability insurance.
Basic Life Support certification is required prior to start.
Current National MA certification - preferred.
