Full Job Description

The Material Handler Level 2 is responsible for the receiving, inventory management, and distribution of materials throughout the warehouse or production area. This position typically requires the ability to operate material handling equipment and may involve light to moderate physical labor.

You will report directly to our Production Supervisor, and you'll work out of our Danville, KY location.

In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes, contributing to the overall success of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of each delivery.
  • Maintain proper documentation for all materials received.
  • Organize and store materials in designated locations within the warehouse.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and maintain stock levels.
  • Prepare and package materials for shipment to production lines or external customers.
  • Load and unload materials from delivery trucks using forklifts or pallet jacks.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while handling materials.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in material handling or warehousing is preferred.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification may be required).
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.

Additional Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials (up to [specific weight]) and perform physical labor as required.
