Job Summary
This role ensures the success of a program with related projects, subprograms, and activities. It also involves building and maintaining excellent relationships with clients, vendors, and departments to support BSWH's strategic initiatives. There is a solid focus on problem-solving, such as gathering market research, identifying root causes, and linking with industry leaders. The role includes mentoring and managing Product Owners, new managers, and project resources for professional development and performing HR duties. This role will manage multiple squads under different programs producing various products.
Essential Functions of the Role
- Manages multiple programs in the Digital Health Portfolio (product management as dictated by business needs)
- Accountable for management, development, and overall mentorship of managers and management consultants (MC's) assigned to squads
- Provide constructive feedback to managers and MC's as needed; assist managers and MC with project escalations and problem-solving as needed
- Drives long-term planning and strategic product vision creation for product improvements and strategies, with oversight from VP as needed
- Establishes product budget and tracks to ensure budget is on track and aligned with strategic goals
- Knowledge of interdependencies of healthcare landscape and its influence on portfolio
- Owns assorted departmental responsibilities as assigned (i.e., contract management, staffing/resourcing, demand management, budgeting, etc.)
- Conducts all human resources activities, including interviews, supervision, evaluations, development, coaching, feedback, rewards, scheduling, leaves, and policy administration.
- Partners with and runs client teams towards the identification of problems/opportunities from a Digital Innovation perspective
- Establishes a process for team-based structuring and defining of problems
- Closely maintains a pulse on digital disruption/innovation in healthcare
- Establishes external relationships with other thought managers in Digital Health
- Provides advice or suggestions for improvements that meet customer and digital health goals
- Presents and explains findings to leadership team and team members
- Utilizes both traditional and modern assessment tools, such as interviews, surveys, and evaluations to arrive at hypothesis and conclusions
- Knows the stakeholders, internal environment, processes, and technology stack of Baylor Scott & White Health
Key Success Factors
- Previous experience managing multiple programs in the Digital Health Portfolio (program and project management as dictated by business needs)
